Dr. Mustafa Hashem was born in Taiz, Yemen finishing his school, and received a scholarship to study medicine at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudia Arabia graduating from there in 1993. Dr. Hashem immigrated to the United States afterward and performed his residency at St John’s Hospital in Detroit where he also completed his cardiology fellowship in 2003.
Dr. Hashem is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular Medicine, Interventional Cardiology, Echocardiography, Vascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, Endovascular Medicine, and Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Hashem was the Chief Cardiologist at Henry Ford’s hospital in Wyandotte, Michigan for 4 years. Currently, Dr. Hashem is the Cardiac Lab director at the same Institution.
Dr. Hashem is a member of the American College of Medicine, American College of Cardiology, a fellow at the American College of Cardiology, and a fellow at the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
Dr. Hashem has given many lectures at various local and national conferences. Dr. Hashem is also engaged in teaching fellows, residents, and medical students on a regular basis.
