Dr. Abdulraheem Qasem is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist at AdventHealth Cancer Center in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. He was born and raised in Al-Mahweet, Yemen. He received his high school education at Al-Thawra School in Hodeidah, Yemen.

Dr. Qasem received his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) in Irbid, Jordan, and then completed his Internal Medicine residency and adult hematology and medical oncology from the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) in Kansas City, Missouri. He then was appointed as an assistant professor of medicine in the department of medicine section of hematology and medical oncology at UMKC.

In 2017, Dr. Qasem joined AdventHealth Cancer Center and became one of the MD Anderson Cancer Network certified physicians. Dr. Qasem is a member of the American college of medicine, American cancer society, American society of hematology, and many other professional organizations. Dr. Qasem has provided many educational activities for medical professionals in Yemen and participated in many multidisciplinary conferences with hospitals and physicians in Yemen to discuss complex medical cases and help local physicians provide better care for the patients.
